NUTMEG (Myristica fragrans), India.

Nutmeg is widely used as a domestic spice in the East and West, and has been used for centuries as a remedy for digestive and kidney problems. The oil is typically pale yellow in colour, with a sweet, warm spicy aroma.

Nutmeg invigorates and stimulates the mind, and is recommended as a stimulant and cardiac tonic, also useful as a digestive stimulant and for the treatment of wind, nausea, chronic vomiting and diarrhoea. Excellent when added to massage oils as its warming properties aid muscular aches and pains, as well as rheumatism.
