Resin Incense – PATCHOULI LEAVES

CRUSHED PATCHOULI LEAVES can be used as incense or even in a blend of dried botanicals to form a natural room-scenting pot pourri. Gently burn the leaves as incense over charcoal tablets (or a candle warmed censer) as you would resin incense such as Frankincense – as it heats, the deep and rich scent of patchouli will be released through the fragrant smoke.

These PATCHOULI LEAVES AND STEMS come from the tall bushy Pogestemon patchouli plant. The scent is strong and earthy, a base note often used as a perfume fixative, particularly in Oriental type perfumes. Patchouli oil is a good scent for dealing with anxiety and depression, and also has a deodorising effect. Each pack contains a mix of full and crushed dried leaves and stems.
